MPM is mobilized in the fight against COVID 19

Our teams, which can still be reached despite the lockdown, have been contacted by laboratories to supply much needed components for PCR tests (the Covid 19 test currently used in France).
We quickly made the decision to help the health services that are caring for the sick on a daily basis.
Within one day our design office had designed the part: a receptacle tube in which the sample taken is immersed in a reactive liquid. A big thank you to the Grimal SARL for the realization of the tooling in just 48 hours.
Thanks to our expertise in producing parts for the aviation and medical industries, in less than a week, plastic injection tooling was set up and the prototype was made and ready for mass production.
Our machines and tools, which are much more reliable and much faster than 3D printing, have once again demonstrated the real added value of thermoplastic injection molding.
MPM thanks all its teams for their hard work and commitment to carry out this urgent project, which is meeting the needs of laboratories in Toulouse as well as nationwide.
Solicited by the Toulouse University Hospital and other laboratories, we are currently examining other parts to meet needs due to medical equipment shortages and we are counting on the entire French plastics supply chain to be operational.
