The current SARS Cov2 crisis has brought about some surprising requests of MPM, such as an order for PCR test tubes on behalf of several laboratories at the peak of the pandemic in April.
This urgent request led to a conjugated effort with several clients and partners (clinics, university hospitals, nursing homes, public access building, hardware stores and distributors, etc.) to conceive of other tools/accessories that could help combat the spread of the virus.

This effort coalesced to form a new market and concept: "protective devices" to meet the high demand for hands-free, door opening devices.
In light of this new demand, several principles and devices have emerged. MPM is also positioning itself in this new and promising market with its own innovative concept: THE UNIVERSAL HANDS-FREE DOOR OPENER!

A Product/Users Approach


True to its proven methods, MPM is once again planning a "Design Thinking" approach, focused on end-users, including those who are often on the front lines (nurses, caregivers, etc.). Before launching into large-scale manufacturing, we will be carrying out validation testing as early as June with the provision of 20 specially- manufactured prototypes to be tested in various settings in the Toulouse region (nursing home, CAPIO Clinic in Quint-Fonsegrives, Toulouse University Hospital, Cancéropôle, analysis laboratories, etc.).
